How to Connect an Ethernet Logger

Connect Device to Internet
1. Plug the logger into power and turn on the device. The device will display the "booting" pattern:

2. Connect the device to an active ethernet port near the point you'll be monitoring. The device should show the "waiting" pattern (if it shows this pattern before connecting to ethernet that is OK):

3. Within 5 minutes (though, it's normally only a minute or so) the device should receive its 6 digit registration code.

4. Make note of the code for the next step.

Claiming your Device's Registration Code

If you haven't already done so, disconnect the logger from USB and plug into AC power or it will not get a registration code!

1. Connect AC power. As a battery saving feature, the logger will not transmit data wirelessly if disconnected from AC power.

2. Wait for the display to turn on. After a couple minutes the logger should display a 6 digit code on the screen.

NOTE: If it does not dispay a code after 5-10 minutes, make sure the logger has the correct settings by re-attaching it to a computer and using the widget to view, edit, an save the settings.
3. In your browser go to and login by clicking the link in the upper right corner.

If you don't have an account simply click the Sign Up For An Account link from the login page.

Give the logger a descriptive name.

Type the registration code that is on the display of the logger into the box. Do not include the any spaces.

Select the correct time zone the device will be logging in.

Select register device.

6. The logger is now added. It will take 5-10 minutes for the first data points to populate into the system. Reload this page to see if data has flowed into the system.

7. Click on Devices in the main menu bar to go back to your device list where you can add more loggers or view all the loggers in your system. Refresh the page to see the most current information.
You can now view the logger's data, change the loggers settings, or share the logger with other users as well as perform many other functions.
