Managing Your Contact Info

All system users can manage their own contact info and preferences from their My Profile page. 
To access the contact info settings of your user profile, simply click on your username in the upper right hand corner of the screen while logged in.
  • The email address used to sign up for an account is your default contact method, but you can add as many additional contact methods as you like. 
  • You will see your email address with an associated contact method label of "Primary". 
  • To add additional contact methods, click to add a new phone number and/or email address.
  • Give each additional contact method a label. This should be something that clearly identifies what the contact method is, for example a "work phone" vs. a "personal cell" number.

It's important to note that these contact methods can potentially be used as the method of notifying you if you are designated as a recipient of alarm notifications. Also note that if you are not an account manager, your contact info may be edited by account managers in order to accommodate alarm notification needs.

Contact Book - Account Owners and Managers

The Contact Book feature enables account managers or managers of specific locations to create or edit contact information for all system users, allowing for better management of users on the account. More importantly, this enables easier management of alarm notifications. With saved contact info you can point alarm notifications to those contact methods, rather than manually input phone numbers and email addresses each time.

To access and manage contact info:

  • While logged in to your account, go to the Manage tab, and click on "Contact Book"
  • From here, you'll be able to view a list of all system users as well as any additional contact info that has been added. 
  • All system users will have a contact entry, but you can add additional contact entries who are not users.
  • For example, you may want to add facility management contact info so that they can be easily added to alarm notifications
  • Contact entries are sorted alphabetically by last name, and you can use the search function to quickly filter by a particular name

To add a new contact entry, simply click the "Add Contact" button in the top right corner of the screen:
  • Fill in the contact person's first and last name in the respective fields
  • Click to add an email address and/or phone number
  • Input the email address and/or phone number in the respective fields (you can only add one number/address per field)
  • Next to the email or phone number in the "Label" field, give that contact method a label name that can clearly identify the method. Keep it short and simple, to one or two words.
  • For example, call your work email address "Work Email" or your personal cell phone "Personal Cell"

  • Once the info is saved with a label, those labels can then be used to attach different contact methods to alarm notifications
