Why won't the logger communicate?</B

• Is the correct version of software being used?
  Version 8.1 or higher is required.
• Make sure the batteries are good.
• Make sure the download cable is not physically defective.
• Make sure that "USB" is selected under File>Preferences>Serial.
• Try selecting another USB port in the software under Logger>Communications>Port.
• Try another available USB port connection on back of PC.
• If this is the first time attempting to communicate on this PC, or if new software or programs have been installed since the data logger was last used, try installing the software on another PC.

• If the logger was used in a moist or humid environment, condensation may have formed on the unit. Place logger is warm dry environment for 24 hrs. Clear memory and try communicating again.
  

Why won't the logger turn on or why is the display frozen?

• Unit may be "locked up", remove the batteries and then replace them after a few moments.
  Removing the batteries will not erase any stored data.
• Batteries may be dead or low, replace batteries.

Why won't the logger download?

• Has the Data Logger just been removed from a cool environment? Condensation may have momentarily formed internally, wait for the unit to warm up, it should power up and give all data stored.

Why does my logger stop logging when I use the Flash Memory Card?

The Flash Memory Download Feature was designed to work with standard MMC cards. MMC Plus cards can cause the unit to stop logging when used to download data. If you think the unit stops logging when the Flash Memory Download Feature is used, you might be using a MMC Plus card. We recommend using Dickson Flash Memory Cards.

Why won't the pen respond to pressure changes?

If the pen does not respond to pressure changes there may be a clog in the capillary. The unit will need to be serviced by Dickson.
