1. How many loggers can run off of one Wireless Receiver?
The system is designed to handle 60 loggers.
2. Will it interfere with other wireless equipment in my facility?
No, the Wizard system is FCC Part 15 Compliant. The system is designed to look for an open channel before sending data. If the channel is in use, the system will look for another open channel or wait to transmit until an open channel can be found. The system will hop over 16 available channels.
3. Will the Wizard work with DicksonWare?
No, the wizard system comes with a new software designed specifically for the wireless system. The software comes bundled with the WR100 Receiver.
4. How will I know if my logger(s) is within range of the Receiver or Repeater?
We strongly recommend that you purchase the WS100 Signal Sensor. The Signal Sensor will tell you if the planned location of the logger is within range of the Receiver / Repeater. At just $99 it's a great tool that makes your system set-up a snap!
5. Can I run more than one Wizard System in the same building?
Yes, each logger is set-up to know which receiver it is sending its data to.
6. What happens to the data if my PC is down or connectivity is lost?
The Wizard is designed with a sophisticated two-way communication capability. The logger first asks the reciever / repeater if it's ready to receive data, if it is then the data is sent. If the logger does not receive confirmation from the Receiver / Repeater then is continues to store the data until connectivity is restored. It can store several days worth of data.
7. What do I need to get started?
Just one WR100 (Receiver & Software) and one logger. That's it!
