Calibrations and Regulations

WEEE/RoHS Directives

Dickson products are monitoring instruments which fall into Category 9 of the WEEE ("Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment") Directive 2002/96/EC, and are compliant to the RoHS ("Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment") Directive 2002/95/EC by exclusion.

According to Article 2, number 1 in the Scope section of the RoHS Directive,

"...this Directive shall apply to electrical and electronic equipment falling under the categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10 set out in Annex IA to Directive No 2002/96/EC (WEEE)...."

Compliance to the WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC) is different for every Member State.

NIST and A2LA

Dickson calibrates all their instrumentation to a NIST standard. Our instruments come with a generic certificate stating their traceability to NIST. We also sell NIST, A2LA and validation certificates. A2LA is partnered with:

• EA (European Cooperation for Accreditation)
• APLAC (Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation)
• ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation)
• IAAC (Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation)
